AT RADIO NOW

Los Angeles-based psychedelic rock band Tombstones In Their Eyes is excited to announce the release of their latest album, Asylum Harbour, available digitally November 19th and on vinyl and CD formats on November 22nd. Known for their fuzz-laden, emotionally evocative soundscapes, Tombstones In Their Eyes takes listeners on a deeply personal journey with Asylum Harbour, a record that explores themes of healing, rebirth and emotional resilience through a fresh blend of acoustic and electric elements.

Asylum Harbour, named after a safe haven amid storms, reflects a period of introspection and creative resurgence for the band. Recorded at Kitten Robot Studios in Los Angeles, the album was co-produced by lead vocalist John Treanor and veteran producer Paul Roessler (TSOL, the Screamers, Nina Hagen). The album showcases a unique departure from the band's previous work, weaving in harmonies and quieter acoustic tracks while still delivering their signature psychedelic fuzz. Standout singles include “I’m Not Like That” – a raw, introspective track featuring pedal steel guitar by David Murphy and “Sweet As Pie,” which introduces Courtney Davies’ rich harmonies as a standout element. The singles set the tone for an album that is as sonically diverse as it is emotionally potent.

Formed over a decade ago, Tombstones In Their Eyes began as a long-distance collaboration between childhood friends John Treanor (Los Angeles) and James Cooper (New York City), who shared a passion for expansive, psych-rock soundscapes. Today, the band includes John Treanor (vocals & guitar), Stephen Striegel (drums), Courtney Davies (vocals), Phil Cobb (guitar), Paul Boutin (guitar), with new members Joel Wasko on bass and Clea Cullen on vocals.

For Treanor, music has long served as an emotional outlet and a way to address anxiety and depression. Throughout Asylum Harbour, he invites listeners to join him in a vulnerable exploration of inner and outer worlds. The album also highlights Treanor's stream-of-consciousness writing style, which allows his lyrics to resonate with raw authenticity, creating an immersive listening experience that fans of the band have come to appreciate.

The album's production, overseen by Roessler, was a collaborative effort that brought in new elements and pushed the band’s sound to new frontiers. Roessler's production lends Asylum Harbour a polished yet gritty quality that perfectly complements the band’s unique aesthetic.

As Tombstones In Their Eyes continues to evolve, they remain committed to creating music that resonates on a deeply personal level, exploring complex emotions through layered, expansive soundscapes. Fans can look forward to the album's availability on November 19, 2024, in digital format and on November 22nd as collectible CD and vinyl editions.
