TANGIENTS is a mix of modern 80s post-punk, 90s shoegaze, and dream pop. Intense yet dream-like vocals pierce as well as float over a thick melodic wall. The result is a futuristic yet timeless collection of songs that make up their debut full-length Embers. 

Chelsea Ray: “This record is a focused body of work that deals directly with core human experiences: memory, loss, and the will to persevere. This isna’t nostalgic indulgence, but a realistic look at identity and survival. “Song For Dope” explores the anxieties of the unknown, while contrasting them with the grounded perspective of “We Are Listening,” which processes nostalgia with sentimentality. Addressing the tension between the past and the present, and yearning to be able to be in the now. “Sicker Than You Seem” exemplify this by turning personal struggle into something universally understood. “The Ether” is an homage to death and relationships that don’t quite work out. Every night we spend here is a night closer to not existing in our physical form: becoming one with the ether. The song is a reminder to live in the now; do the things you want if you’re able; tell the people you love that you feel that way; and try to be honest, bc the truth is key and will set you free.”
