Soul Dive, the high school-aged rock band from Pittsburgh, celebrates the release of its second single, “Bender” on Friday, July 17th with a live performance on the 102.5 WDVE morning show.
With echoes of The Clash and Green Day, “Bender” is a fast-paced, energetic, hard hitting punk rock track that hails as a statement recording for Soul Dive.
Already capturing the attention of national acts, Soul Dive opened for Modern Alibi and Love Scar on their local tour stops in June. Soul Dive also performed at the Millvale Music Festival and has a date, July 11th in the North Side Music Festival. Drusky Entertainment has them featured as the main act on a July 15 show at Jergel’s Rhythm Grille.
Following up their popular debut release of “Shell of a Man” which they performed live in-studio on Scott Tady’s Beaver County Radio Morning show, “Bender” is a powerful showcase of the band’s evolving songwriting, musicianship and commitment to creating authentic rock music that connects with an audience.
Recorded at The Vault Recording Studio in Coraopolis and developed by respected co-producers Greg Gordon (Greta Van Fleet/Oasis/Public Enemy/Run DMC) and Rob Deaner (Billy Idol/John Waite) the new single harkens back to the hey days of grunge and punk, but detonates with a style that is fresh, youthful and new.
“I’ve been on projects that have exploded onto the scene and this record has all of the same earmarks.” Deaner said. “This is sure to be a heck of a ride!”
“Soul Dive represents a new generation of indie rock”, said Bob McCutcheon, Owner and President of The Vault Recording Studio. “They have that rare combination of youthful energy, authentic songwriting, and a sound that feels both fresh and timeless.”
Made up of Luca Becker (vocals, guitar), Cristiano Kinol (guitar), Santino Kinol (drums) and Rylan Ivanisin (bass), Soul Dive has quickly become one of the most talked-about young bands emerging from the Pittsburgh music scene. Their performances at local festivals, venues, showcases and even backyards have earned a reputation for delivering the kind of chemistry and live energy that can’t be manufactured.
With a full-length album due out in Fall 2026 and growing support throughout the region, Soul Dive’s latest release marks another step forward in what is becoming a remarkable story.
