With his self-titled debut album, Lonely Inc. embarks on a musical journey into a dark yet nostalgic world of sound, rooted somewhere between Americana nostalgia and bittersweet memories of a long lost love.



Lonely Inc. is the new solo project of Viennese songwriter Laurenz Jandl, who is already known as the creative mind behind Polkov and Laurie. The debut album was created in close collaboration with producer and multi-instrumentalist Marco Kleebauer (Leyya, Sharktank, Bilderbuch) and will be released on Friday, November 15, 2024.

The contemplative songs tell the story of a life characterized by isolation, longing and the search for one's own self. Indie, alternative and Americana sounds merge to create a constantly melancholic mood. Musically, the album spans an arc from the dark soundscapes of The Cure (noticeable in the single “Memphis”) to the introspective influences of Mac DeMarco (“Nothing”), Alex G (“Ghost”) and The Cars (“What Happened”), creating an exciting spectrum of musical references.

With haunting lyrics and an enraptured atmosphere, the album invites you to explore the different facets of longing and loss. Songs like “Dreams” and “Nothing” capture the duality between abandonment and letting go, while “Do Not Let Me Go” and “The Shore” address the struggle with identity.
