LIA PAPPAS-KEMPS - WINGED - COALITION

Following the release of her debut album Winged, Toronto-based alternative singer-songwriter Lia Pappas-Kemps announces a special co-headline tour with fellow Canadian indie artist Rachel Bobbitt. The run of dates will kick off May 23 with a hometown show at The Garrison in Toronto before traveling through Canada and the U.S. East Coast with stops in Philadelphia, Washington D.C., Boston, New York, Montreal, and more.

The trek arrives on the heels of Winged, Lia’s sweeping, emotionally vivid, and critically acclaimed debut LP. Across ten tracks, the project captures the singer-songwriter’s singular gift for transforming quiet, internal moments into cinematic indie songs. Rooted in intimate storytelling and luminous guitar-driven arrangements, Winged moves fluidly between hushed acoustic reflections and slow-burning alt-rock crescendos, anchored by Lia’s unmistakably intimate vocal delivery.

Written between the ages of 19 and 20, Winged traces the fragile architecture of relationships, memory, and self-discovery, exploring themes of youth, freedom, and emotional vulnerability. The album builds on the poetic lyricism that first drew critical attention to Lia’s music on her debut EP Gleam, while expanding her sonic palette across standout tracks like “Towers,” “Orchid,” and the aching closer “How do I get to you?”

With the upcoming co-headline tour, fans will experience these songs in their most immediate and intimate form yet. Sharing the stage with Rachel, the run promises an evening of evocative indie songwriting and powerful live performances from two of Canada’s most compelling rising voices.

Lia has quickly emerged as one of alternative music’s most captivating young storytellers, drawing comparisons to artists like Joni Mitchell, Laura Marling, and Alanis Morissette while carving out a voice distinctly her own within a new generation of indie and alt musicians.
