JULIANNA ZACHARIOU - dreamer dreamer

Profiled recently on KPBS about her freshly-minted 5 million streams for Subway Song, Zachariou is known for her mission to queer the American songbook. A Sacramento transplant by way of Nashville and San Diego, her fans and collaborators include Madison Cunningham, Caroline Kingsbury, and Ny Oh.

Last summer, after a $32k GoFundMe campaign, Zachariou recorded Dreamer Dreamer in rural Wales with Blondshell's Jeff Frantom, Voka Gentle's Ellie Mason, and a field full of sheep. The resulting record is a playful, dizzy, experimental-pop smorgasbord. Somewhere between Neil Young, Alison Krauss, with a little Demis Roussos for good measure.
