Gawshock - leaves to the sun

Gawshock is the solo project of Huntsville, Alabama songwriter David Broome. What began in 2021 as a bedroom recording outlet has evolved into a fully realized indie rock project built around intimate songwriting, textured guitars, and warm lo-fi production. Drawing comparisons to artists like Yo La Tengo and Sparklehorse, Gawshock blends close-up vulnerability with expansive arrangements that balance melancholy, curiosity, and quiet optimism.

The latest album, Leaves to the Sun, marks Gawshock’s most refined and deliberate work to date- a deeply personal collection of songs exploring love, memory, and coping with life’s more difficult moments. Following a steady stream of releases and live performances, Gawshock has grown an audience of over 40,000 monthly listeners and will be touring in support of the new record.
