Early praise for Twen:

"“Damsel” [is] a dreamy rocker with a light psychedelic edge."- Stereogum

"Twen creates a completely transformative experience on their latest single “Baptism” from their upcoming debut album 'Awestruck.' The sprawling epic is commanded by the dynamic pairing of vocalist Jane Fitzsimmons and guitarist Ian Jones, who mix stirring, ethereal vocals with a raw composition that breaks down the boundaries between rock subgenres and captures the enigmatic live performance that the band has honed in the DIY scene." - Billboard

"Twen’s genre-defying songs, fall somewhere between dream pop and psych rock, with an inherent DIY ethos. While the “Damsel” video’s playful nature speaks to the band’s desire to make thoughtful art and to simply have fun doing it... Twen is a diy band about to make it big" - i-D

"['Awestruck'] promises to be a collection of sunny shoegaze and dream-pop reverie, Jones’ guitar and Fitzsimmons’ hiccuped vocals perfectly paired." - Paste Magazine

"Nashville indie rockers TWEN built up a reputation for themselves off the strength of their live show before releasing any music. They’ve since signed to Frenchkiss, put out a couple singles that prove they’re good in the studio too..." - Brooklyn Vegan

"It’s rare to find a band this fully-formed from the start, which is precisely why Twen feels so essential." - Uproxx

Nashville-via-Boston DIY scene duo Twen release their incredible debut album this month, and share a massive, instantly memorable new single, “Make Hard.” The band explains: “This song was rewritten and arranged very late in the recording process. Another one of our earliest tunes, the second verse was a response to the growing pains we were going through at the time, transitioning from part time rockers to full time road warriors. The lyrics have come to symbolize the dynamics and relationships within a band as it grows, through the transformation of defined roles and how they change over time.”

Twen came up in the Boston DIY punk scene, kicking off two straight years of touring in 2017 with nothing but a live EP from the band’s first-ever performance. Now based in Nashville, Twen recently announced their explosive debut album AwestruckAwestruck is a time capsule two years in the making and recorded in different locations along the way. Though unabashedly indie rock, Twen’s songs genre-bend from shoe-gaze-sized walls of sound to Beatle-esque call-and-response harmonies, while frontperson Jane Fitzsimmons’ voice weaves through guitarist Ian Jones’ guitar lines with Cocteau Twin’s inspired flair, giving breath of ethereal mysticism across the album. Awestruck will be out on September 20th via Frenchkiss.

Twen recently wrapped a U.S. run with White Reaper, and are touring Europe with Tacocat right now before returning stateside for more shows, including a hometown release show in Nashville on September 27th.
