The Rockyts is a solo project by Jeremy Abboud (19 y/o), infusing rock into modern pop. Jeremy plays every instrument on his songs himself and self-produces/records/mixes/masters in his basement studio in Ottawa, Canada. It originally began as a trio, and on his first album, at 16, Jeremy got to work with legendary engineer, Eddie Kramer (The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Kiss). His first solo single, “I Get High”, which he promoted to radio himself, was #39 on the Canadian rock radio chart (Mediabase), and stayed top 50 for 7 weeks, gaining support from The Strokes’ producer, Gordon Raphael, who said “That song just explodes with great vocals, melodies and harmonies". Follow up single, “Falling Again” was premiered on Sirius XM's Underground Garage and was one of Steven Van Zandt’s Coolest Songs in the world on his Sirius show. The music video was featured by Vevo on their official Alternative playlist, and subsequent single, “Another One Like You” was featured on Apple Music’s official “New in Rock” playlist. Now with 50,000 fans across platforms, The Rockyts has just reached 1,000,000 streams on Spotify/Apple as Jeremy releases his 2nd full length album, “Parkwood Manor”, which features the preceding singles.
