Dream Journal EP is a new offering from Ship Says Om, a project of Jenny Gillespie Mason, the singer/multi-instrumentalist behind Sis and the Lower Wisdom. Dream Journal is a collection of six ambient folk-influenced tracks, drawing from shamanic, Celtic, and global sounds, infusing it with the depth and solace of a psychedelic guided-therapy playlist. Created over 2 days at home in an improvisational stream-of-consciousness method using instruments on hand as well as found sounds and samples, the 6 tracks' emotional landscapes sing of domestic life as well as more transcendent spiritual states, and how the two blend together for a seeker-musician.
