Roseblood is Portland, OR musician Kathy Foster (The Thermals, All Girl Summer Fun Band, Hurry Up, Slang, Woolly Mountain). Roseblood's self-titled debut album, released on February 28, 2025 (no label), was recorded mostly by Kathy throughout the pandemic and features the superstar drumming of Janet Weiss (Quasi, Sleater-Kinney, Slang) on all but two songs.

“This record is a break-up record. I was heavy with a painful broken heart and working on these songs was the only thing that helped. I couldn’t pretend I was ok, I couldn’t drink the pain away, all I could do was cry and pour my heart out. So I just tried to embrace the sadness and vulnerability, and not hold back. The album’s not all sad though. It’s also a journey of making it to the other side of heartbreak. It’s about the catharsis of letting yourself feel the pain so that you can let it go. It’s about reconnecting with yourself and your strengths, which can lead to learning new things about yourself.”
