last pages - another good one gone
Another Good One Gone is the new album by Last Pages, scheduled to be released on May 1st, 2025. Produced by Eric “Roscoe” Ambel (Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, The Del-Lords, Steve Earle) at Big Blue North Recording Studio in Utica, NY; this full length release builds on the fury of their debut EP, Monuments, expanding the band’s sound and dynamics. Eric Ambel’s production expertly captures the open space of Big Blue North’s vaulted church nave and altar. Mastered by Richard Dodd (Wilco, Green Day, Tom Petty), Another Good One Gone presents a band in peak form, utilizing their unique alt-rock, post-punk sound as the platform for their lyrical call to action.
In March of 2024, Last Pages released their debut EP, Monuments. Mixed and mastered by "Godfather of Grunge" Jack Endino, the four songs announced the arrival of a “new” band with a “new” sound, but “deep connections ... and some unexpected ones.” (Farnsworth, Seven Days, VT)
Formed in August 2023, Last Pages is Larry Dolan (guitar/vocals), Gordy Sheer (drums), Will Harp (lead guitar) and Trevor Cole (bass/vocals). From 2020-2023, Larry, Gordy, and Will played in Dos En Uno releasing the LP Jaguar (mixed/mastered by Jack Endino).
Gordy and Larry were teammates on the 1998 Olympic Luge Team in Nagano. Led by their team captain, Mojo Nixon, Gordy played drums on Mojo’s team anthem Arctic Evil Knievel-Luge Team Song and won a silver medal (as Mojo predicted!).
Larry and Trevor played together in the instrumental post rock band Resonator from 2000-2009. They had a number of releases during this time, Lost Language being the most notable. Trevor was a member of doom-metal band, The Dying Game Theory in the late 90s. In 2012, Larry scored the award winning independent documentary, Convento.
During the Bush era, Will served a tour in Iraq. He returned with an interest in huddled cave dwelling and wanna-be computer hacking. He emerged years later with a sweet pedalboard and keen shredding skills. The story of Last Pages continues to evolve in 2025…
