CLOVER - “MY KIND OF WOMAN”
Rising artist CLOVER released her women’s anthem, “My Kind of Woman,” on July 10. The track was recorded at the legendary Electric Lady Studios with producer John Rooney, the same creative team behind CLOVER’s recently released debut EP, Atlas. Rooney produced an alternate version of “My Kind of Woman”, out September 5.
“My Kind of Woman” is a fearless anthem celebrating body hair, women’s reproductive rights, wildness, and radical self-acceptance. The song draws from CLOVER’s personal journey of reconnecting with her body and embracing her natural form – challenging cultural norms and finding beauty in what once felt uncomfortable.
“I wrote this song during a time when I was reclaiming parts of myself I’d previously felt disconnected from,” CLOVER shares. “It’s about honoring the wild, unfiltered expression of womanhood – however that looks for each of us.”
The music video, shot in Hawaii, features a stunning visual representation of what it’s like to be your authentic self and weave into a community of supportive women on the same journey.
A longtime crowd favorite at her live shows, “My Kind of Woman” has evoked tears, laughter, and full-bodied movement in listeners. Now, CLOVER is excited to share a remix version with a wider audience.
