BABES IN CANYON - THE NEW LOUD - DARCY BLUE

Genre-defying, expertly arranged, and profoundly catchy, The New Loud draws eloquently from the palettes of moody folk and synth-heavy pop to present a sound both eminently engaging and very much of the moment.

The New Loud was written in an old 1950’s cabin on the Washington coast in the middle of the winter. Isolated and with minimal access to technology, the band spent their days walking on the rainy beach and through the coastal forests. Bones of the record in hand, they returned to the small recording studio they’d built at their rural farmhouse. Jerry Streeter (Brandi Carlile, The Lumineers, Vance Joy) joined them to help engineer and mix the record. Matt Bishop (Two Door Cinema Club, The Beaches) mastered the tracks.
