Presenting their debut EP, Charleston SC-based Babe Club have been working towards their most distinguished project yet for the last two years. Since starting out in 2018 they have released a string of singles that have encompassed and progressed their unique, infectious and downright awesome sound. The aptly titled ‘Remember This Feeling’ is a real statement of intent.

After just introducing their alternative smartphone ‘The Flip-Flap’ in the music video to their latest single ‘Automatic Love,’ Jenna Desmond and Corey Campbell are now looking to stimulate your senses with their five track EP:

Produced by Dan Gleason (Grouplove), ‘Remember This Feeling’ is a raw and emotive showcase of 90s infused alt rock. Infused with melodic pop tones and a nod to punk, the gritty guitar work juxtaposes the incredibly versatile vocal performances, making this one of the most diverse and interesting EPs of the year. Unmistakeable and inimitable, Babe Club have created a sound that has the scope to fill an arena and cause a ruckus in a pair of headphones at the same time. Both inquisitive and intriguing, this is music for the people at its finest. On their debut EP, Babe Club added:

“We were bouncing between the joys of writing and playing together, and the trial and errors of many psychotic states of self-doubt. ‘Remember this Feeling’ is for you to remember the joy you had the very first time you started doing what you love. Let it guide you through all the muck.”

They’ve come a long way since their debut single ‘Hate Myself,’ and in times of uncertainty, one thing is true – their journey is only just beginning. Who wants to join the ride?

Capturing Blondie's mid 70’s new wave era, and the 90’s alt-pop group The Cardigans - Babe Club’s sound is marked by raw guitars, textural synths, and lustrous drum beats. A clever songwriting style reminiscent of Aimee Mann, their alluring melodies are fused with powerfully evocative and existential lyrics, yielding songs that explore self-realization, honest emotions, friendship and themes of love.

Lead vocalist/songwriter Jenna Desmond grew up on Long Island NY and learned to play the piano at an early age. Promising herself she wouldn’t study music, for it was not a practical option, she moved to Charleston and studied psychology. There she inevitably became part of the music scene where she befriended future bandmate, Corey Campbell. Jenna and Corey had an immediate connection musically and began writing together. Corey was a classical pianist finishing up a music degree and was touring as lead guitarist for indie rock band Susto. After graduation, Campbell taught Desmond how to play bass in order to tour with the group. They toured with the band for three years, where they honed in on their style and wrote some of their first songs. They left that group at the end of 2018 to form Babe Club.

In 2019, the band recorded their first EP in Atlanta, at Big Trouble Recording with Producer Dan Gleason (member of Grouplove), and Engineer TJ Eias (Liz Cooper, Manchester Orchestra).

Shortly after the EP was finished, Desmond messaged MEG HA on instagram, who at the time was promoting shows around town and asked her to write and collaborate. Meg helped out with creative direction for one of the band’s music videos and then ended up becoming a member.
