Andrew Deadman left home as a teenager to go busking on the streets. By the age of 20, he had played throughout Europe and North America and finally settled in Los Angeles after the urging of a local radio host.
Andrew started playing the Southern California circuit with a backup band under the moniker The Temporary Thing. His occasional home recordings would find their way into TV shows including The New Girl, Shameless, One Tree Hill, Grace and Frankie, Gossip Girl, and Supernatural. Rolling Stone magazine called Andrew “definitely one to watch”. His music received airplay on BBC Radio 1, Radio France and NPR and college stations across the United States.
Andrew worked as a guitar technician for artists ranging from Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers to Kiefer Sutherland.
For his debut album Santa Monica Airport 1987 under his name Andrew Deadman, he and his band rode out of the San Fernando Valley to record at Rancho De La Luna (Arctic Monkeys, Queens Of The Stone Age) in Joshua Tree, California.
